The agreement was formalized at HPPC’s Corporate Office in Panchkula on January 29, 2025, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations. The 800 MW power supply will be sourced from DVC’s upcoming projects, including 300 MW from Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station (RTPS) Phase-II (2x660 MW), 300 MW from Koderma Thermal Power Station (KTPS) Phase-II (2x800 MW), and 200 MW from Durgapur Thermal Power Station (DTPS) (1x800 MW). This latest agreement is in addition to the existing PPA under which DVC already supplies 300 MW of power to Haryana from its operational units.

DVC has also secured a PPA to supply 1,159 MW of power to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, with further agreements for the remaining capacity from its upcoming projects expected to be signed with other DISCOMs in the near future.

Speaking on the occasion, DVC's Member (Finance) Arup Sarkar emphasized the importance of the agreement, stating, “We are delighted to partner with HPPC in addressing Haryana’s energy needs. This agreement reinforces our commitment to delivering sustainable and affordable power solutions while paving the way for further opportunities to collaborate in the energy sector.”

The signing ceremony was attended by key officials, including Sanjiv Shrivastava, Executive Director (Commercial); Arun Patra, Chief General Manager and Prasenjit Mandal, Deputy General Manager of DVC. Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to exploring further avenues for collaboration to enhance energy security and reliability.
