ECL opens AMRIT Pharmacy at Sanctoria Hospital

The initiative is part of ECL’s employee welfare and community-oriented healthcare efforts aimed at improving access to affordable medicines and medical supplies

New Delhi: Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) has inaugurated an AMRIT Pharmacy at its Sanctoria Hospital to provide affordable medicines, surgical items and medical implants to employees and people in the surrounding areas.

ECL Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Satish Jha inaugurated the facility on Saturday. The pharmacy, operated by HLL Lifecare Limited under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, will make quality medicines and medical supplies available at substantially discounted prices.

The facility will provide cashless access to medicines to serving ECL employees as per applicable provisions. It will also cater to residents of peripheral areas around Sanctoria, helping reduce the healthcare expenses of patients and their families.

During the inauguration, Jha interacted with the AMRIT Pharmacy team, doctors, medical staff and patients and stressed the need to ensure medicine availability, maintain quality standards and provide patient-friendly healthcare services.

ECL Director (HR) Gunjan Kumar Sinha and senior company officials were also present at the inauguration.
