EdCIL pays dividend of Rs 31 crore to Govt for FY 2023-24

EdCIL has announced a dividend payment of Rs 31 crore, marking a substantial 55 percent increase from the Rs 20 crore dividend distributed in FY 2022-23

New Delhi: EdCIL (India) Limited has reported a record-breaking performance for the fiscal year 2023-24. The company announced a dividend payment of Rs 31 crore, marking a substantial 55 percent increase from the Rs 20 crore dividend distributed in FY 2022-23.

The dividend cheque was formally presented to the Secretary of Higher Education at the Ministry of Education K Sanjay Murthy by the Chairman and Managing Director of EdCIL Manoj Kumar in a ceremony held on November 5. Also in attendance were Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary (TEL) of the Ministry of Education, along with senior officials from both the Ministry and EdCIL.

The year also saw EdCIL achieve its highest-ever turnover of Rs 656 crore, a notable 49 percent growth compared to the previous fiscal’s turnover of Rs 439 crore. Profit Before Tax (PBT) surged to Rs 137 crore, representing a 54 percent increase over the previous year’s Rs 89 crore PBT.
