FM Sitharaman participates in Investors’ Roundtable meeting, discusses investment possibilities

New Delhi: Finance Minister on Wednesday participated in the Investors’ Roundtable meeting in Incheon, South Korea and shared the incredible investment opportunities that India presents under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, said the Finance Ministry in a tweet.

Good governance for New India

While discussing several investment opportunities, Sitharaman elaborated on the vision and reform-oriented approach towards Good Governance to shape New India and redefine its place in the global economic order, the tweet said.

FM talks about recent reforms

FM also talked about recent reforms like National Infrastructure Pipeline, National Monetisation Pipeline, Digital Public Infrastructure and Production Linked Incentive Scheme, besides the real estate sector and FDI policy reforms.

India has stood out as a beacon of hope facing the tailwinds of the pandemic and the headwinds of the geo-political conflicts to become the fifth-largest economy in the world, she said.

FM thanks investors for showing their interest in PLI scheme

Sitharaman thanked the investors for showing continued confidence in India and for indicating their willingness and commitment to participate in the Production Linked Incentive Scheme, especially for the mobile phone and electronic components sector.

Further, "she invited investors to become a part of the journey of the Indian economy, which is full of immense new opportunities for growth and investments," the tweet said.
