Gadkari inaugurates & lays foundation for infrastructure projects worth Rs 1,450 cr in Assam

New Delhi: In a significant boost to Assam's infrastructure, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the four-lane Section between Nagaon Bypass-Teliagaon and Teliagaon-Rangagara, said the Ministry in a statement on Monday. He also laid the foundation for the Mangaldai Bypass and the 4-lane section between Daboka-Parakhuwa. The virtual ceremony took place in the presence of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, MP Dilip Saikia, MP Pradyut Bordoloi, and State Minister of Forest and Environment Chandra Mohan Patowary. These four projects, with a combined investment of 1,450 crores, represent a substantial commitment to enhancing Assam's infrastructure, the statement added.

18-km long 4-Lane section between Nagaon Bypass-Teliagaon & Teliagaon-Rangagara inaugurated

The newly inaugurated 18-kilometre long 4-Lane section between Nagaon Bypass-Teliagaon and Teliagaon-Rangagara, with a cost of Rs 403 crore, will significantly improve accessibility between North Assam and Upper Assam. This development is expected to fuel economic growth and create new opportunities for the region.

Foundation stone laid for construction of 15 km bypass in Mangaldai on NH 15

The foundation stone was laid for the construction of a 15 kilometre bypass in Mangaldai on NH 15, with a total cost of 535 crores. This project aims to strengthen the connectivity between Assam, West Bengal, and Arunachal Pradesh, promoting seamless travel and fostering regional integration.

Foundation stone laid for 13 km long bypass between Daboka & Parakhuwa on NH-29

Another foundation stone was laid for a 13 kilometre long bypass between Daboka and Parakhuwa on NH-29, amounting to a total cost of 517 Crores. This bypass will enhance connections along the Guwahati-Dimapur Economic Corridor and facilitate links to Myanmar and Thailand. Additionally, it will improve inter-regional connectivity between Assam and Nagaland.
