The projects, whose foundation stones were laid a year and a half ago on the birthday of the Prime Minister aim to enhance connectivity and improve road infrastructure in the region.

First project spans approximately 3 kms at cost of Rs 27.01 cr

The first project, located near Dumad Chowkdi on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara section of National Highway 48, spans approximately three kilometres and has been made at a cost of Rs 27.01 crores. These additions are expected to alleviate traffic congestion issues and enhance safety for commuters.

Second project costs Rs 17 cr

The second project, costing Rs 17 crores, spans about one kilometre and is situated near the Dena Junction of Vadodara. Gadkari emphasised that the project incorporates an underpass and a service road, and it also features a notable innovation including, solar-powered streetlights, a first-of-its-kind implementation on National Highway 48. Additionally, the use of Polymer Modified Bitumen in the construction of the underpass and service road surface is expected to enhance durability and resistance to cracks.

An essential highlight of the project is the construction of a three-lane service road, a first in this particular development. Gadkari expressed confidence that these initiatives would improve connectivity for the villages of Dena, Harini, and Virod, making the area safer for traffic and facilitating smoother movement from industrial zones.
