GAIL, RailTel sign MoU to explore opportunities in digital infrastructure

GAIL has signed an MoU with RailTel to explore collaboration opportunities in key areas of digital infrastructure in the country

New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel Corporation of India Limited to explore collaboration opportunities in key areas of digital infrastructure in the country.

The MoU has been signed on March 5, by GAIL's Executive Director (O&M-CO) SS Agrawal and RailTel's Company Secretary & General Manager (Law) JS Marwah in the presence of GAIL's Director (Business Development) Rajeev Kumar Singhal, RailTel's Chairman and Managing Director Sanjai Kumar and other senior officials from both organisations.

The partnership aims to explore telecom and digital infrastructure opportunities by leveraging the network capabilities and technological strengths of both companies.

Commenting on the development, GAIL Chairman and Managing Director Deepak Gupta said the collaboration aligns with the company’s vision of integrating energy and digital infrastructure while leveraging the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), which is crucial for India’s development journey.

RailTel CMD Sanjai Kumar said the company remains committed to strengthening India’s digital backbone through robust and secure communication infrastructure. He added that the collaboration with GAIL will enable both organisations to combine their strengths in network infrastructure and technological capabilities to accelerate the expansion of reliable digital connectivity across the country.
