GRIDTECH 2019 to be inaugurated by Vice President

To encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, the GRIDTECH 2019 has separate designated areas for Micro & Small Enterprises and Students’ Innovation Pavilions

New Delhi: GRIDTECH 2019, the sixth international exhibition and conference that showcases new technologies in the power sector, will be inaugurated by Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on April 3. The international event is being organised by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) with the support of the Ministry of Power from April 3 to 5 at ITPO, Pragati Maidan.

This international event will put on display new technologies in the fields of transmission, distribution, renewable integration, smart grid, communication etc. "The exhibition and the concurrent summit will be an excellent global networking opportunity for exhibitors, utilities, consultants, academicians, regulators, investors, visitors and delegates. One can experience the state-of-the-art power technologies and equipment of future transmission, distribution, renewables & smart grid infrastructure during this event," an official statement said.

GRIDTECH is being organised from April 3-5, 2019

It provides an excellent opportunity for all the stakeholders to showcase their expertise in various domains of power sector and technology know-how for their awareness, appreciation and benefit of the power sector, and will also help to identify business opportunities in the electricity market in India and abroad, the statement said.

Separate areas for MSEs and students' pavillions

To encourage entrepreneurship and innovation, the exhibition has separate designated areas for Micro & Small Enterprises (MSEs) and Students' Innovation Pavilions. Along with the exhibition, GRIDTECH 2019 provides brilliant opportunity to listen and sharing of experience with experts in the two conferences being organised parallel to the exhibition, for 2-days (April 3 and 4) which shall be focusing on state-of-the-art technologies and emerging trends in the related fields. Conference 1 is focused on the latest technologies in transmission, distribution, smart grid and communication, whereas Conference 2 organised along with CIGRE-India/CBIP is focused on the integration of renewables with a large synchronous grid.

The students' innovation pavilion will provide a platform to the student community to demonstrate emerging technologies through their working models and will be awarded cash prizes worth Rs 10 Lakh.
