New Delhi: State-owned Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Engineers India Limited (EIL) to strengthen their long-standing partnership and collaborate on consultancy, engineering and project management services across the mining and metals value chain.

The agreement was signed on June 22 at EIL’s Corporate Office in New Delhi in the presence of HCL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjiv Kumar Singh, senior management of EIL, and officials from both organizations.
Under the agreement, EIL will provide a range of services to HCL, including consultancy, engineering, project management, safety and integrity studies, sustainability solutions, and advanced technical services. The collaboration will focus on copper, critical minerals and rare earth elements.
HCL, which operates across the entire copper value chain, from mineral exploration and mining to beneficiation, smelting, refining and downstream processing, plans to leverage EIL’s engineering and project management expertise to support its expansion and modernisation initiatives.

The partnership is expected to contribute to the development of projects related to critical minerals and rare earth elements, areas that have gained strategic importance amid the country’s efforts to strengthen domestic mineral security and support the energy transition.
