Hindustan Copper emerges preferred bidder for copper block in MP

Hindustan Copper has emerged as the preferred bidder for the Composite Licence (CL) for Baghwari–Khirkhori copper and associated mineral block located in Madhya Pradesh

New Delhi: State-owned Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has emerged as the preferred bidder for the composite licence (CL) for the Baghwari–Khirkhori copper and associated mineral block located in Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh. The information has been shared by the mining PSU in a social media post on X on Saturday.

As per the information available, the mineral block was notified by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, and the forward e-auction for the grant of the composite licence was conducted on January 22. The auction process was carried out by the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Government of Madhya Pradesh, under a Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) dated October 31, 2025, for the grant of mining leases and composite licences in the state.

HCL participated in the competitive bidding process and submitted the highest final price offer. Consequently, the company has been declared the preferred bidder for the Baghwari–Khirkhori copper and associated mineral block. The communication confirming the outcome of the auction was received by the company on January 22.
