Between April 1 and April 6, the company recorded strong consumption trends, with petrol sales reaching 2,27,086 KL and diesel sales at 4,05,398 KL. To support the rising demand, HPCL dispatched over 40,000 tankers carrying petrol, diesel and PDS SKO, ensuring steady replenishment across its retail network.

In the LPG segment, HPCL delivered over 75 lakh cylinders during the period, along with additional supplies of Free Trade LPG cylinders, reinforcing last-mile connectivity, particularly for migrant workers and economically weaker sections.

The company also reported high digital adoption, with 94.5 percent of LPG bookings made through platforms such as IVRS, SMS, WhatsApp and HP PAY, while delivery authentication is being ensured through OTP-based systems.

HPCL has stepped up monitoring to curb malpractices, conducting over 4,300 inspections and taking action against erring distributors. Joint enforcement drives with other agencies led to multiple raids, FIRs and seizure of LPG cylinders.

The company reiterated that fuel and LPG supplies remain stable, attributing localised pressure to temporary demand spikes and advising customers to avoid panic stocking.
