HSL, LWT India and VINSSEN South Korea forge strategic alliance to boost green vessel technology in India

New Delhi: In a significant move toward advancing sustainable maritime solutions, Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has entered into a strategic partnership with LWT India and South Korea's VINSSEN. This collaboration aims to revolutionize green vessel technology in India by leveraging each company's unique expertise.

The partnership brings together HSL's extensive experience in vessel manufacturing, LWT India's specialization in battery and offshore charging systems, and VINSSEN's cutting-edge hydrogen and hybrid propulsion technologies. This alliance is poised to drive innovation within India's maritime industry, aligning with the Government of India's 'Make in India' and 'Green India' initiatives.

Cmde Hemant Khatri, Chairman and Managing Director of HSL, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, "This collaboration enables us to deliver technologically advanced, eco-friendly vessels, which will transform maritime operations in India."

LWT India's CMD Maninder Singh, highlighted the importance of the partnership, noting, "By collaborating with VINSSEN, we are bringing the best of South Korean engineering to India, supported by a comprehensive 10-year maintenance plan to ensure long-term reliability and operational excellence."

VINSSEN's CEO Lee Chil Han, echoed these sentiments, saying, "We are thrilled to introduce our advanced hydrogen and hybrid propulsion technology to India through our partnership with HSL and LWT. This alliance not only showcases the strength of Korean technology but also reflects the deep bond between India and South Korea, setting a new benchmark for green vessel technology in the region."
