HSL signs contract with VPA for 60T BP Tug construction

Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) has signed a contract with Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) for the construction of 60T Bollard Pull Tug

New Delhi: Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) signed a contract with Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) on Wednesday for construction of 60T Bollard Pull Tug. The tug will be designed in-house with IRS Class, is capable of pulling upto 60 tons. Its construction will be completed within 18 months and will play a vital role in enhancing harbor towing and ship assist capabilities in Indian ports, promoting Atma Nirbhar Bharat, Maritime Vision 2030, and Vocal for Local initiatives.

This partnership strengthens collaboration between VPA and HSL, contributing to India's maritime growth.

The contract signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Deputy Chairman, VPA, Cmde Girideep Singh, Director (Strategic Projects), HSL and General Manager (BDD) along with other HSL and VPA senior management officials.
