At the Kolkata venue, Shantanu Thakur, Minister of State for Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, personally handed over the appointment letters, underscoring the importance of such initiatives in supporting the nation’s youth. The role of Rozgar Mela, he noted, is to bridge the gap between skilled youth and career opportunities, thereby enhancing workforce engagement.

In conjunction with the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed Rozgar Mela participants across the nation through a videoconference, marking the issuance of over 51,000 appointment letters to young professionals across government departments and organizations. In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of equipping the youth with meaningful career paths to contribute to India’s growth and development.
