The MoU, signed on November 24, outlines a collaboration framework under which the two organisations will work together on programmes related to urban infrastructure, infrastructure investment and HUDCO’s Urban Invest Window (UiWIN). The partnership also aims to facilitate capacity-building initiatives, including seminars, workshops and conferences, as well as joint research, monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment studies.

HUDCO and NIUA will additionally explore opportunities for collaboration with multilateral funding agencies and other suitable financing partners to support urban development projects. The agreement is non-binding and will serve as a broad framework for future cooperation, with specific project-based agreements to be executed separately.

The MoU was signed by HUDCO Director (Corporate Planning) M. Nagaraj and NIUA Director (AC) Dr Debolina Kundu. The understanding will remain valid for five years, with provisions for mutually agreed termination.

The partnership reinforces HUDCO’s commitment to advancing sustainable urban development and aligns with NIUA’s mandate as a premier think tank on urban policy and planning.
