New Delhi: In a major move to boost urban infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh, Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company Limited (MPUDCL). The MoU has been formalised on Friday in Indore in the presence of senior dignitaries, including the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr Mohan Yadav, and Urban Development and Housing Minister, Kailash Vijayvargiya.
Under the non-binding MoU, HUDCO will extend financial assistance amounting to Rs 1,00,000 crore over the next five years for various housing and infrastructure projects across the state. In addition to financial support, HUDCO will also provide consultancy services and capacity-building assistance to facilitate the successful planning and execution of these projects.
Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman & Managing Director of HUDCO, was also present at the signing ceremony, which signals a significant step forward in collaborative efforts between central and state agencies aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and improving living standards in Madhya Pradesh.
The partnership aims to drive development in key sectors such as affordable housing, water supply, sanitation, solid waste management, and smart urban mobility, thereby contributing to sustainable and inclusive urban growth in the state.
