New Delhi: India Mining Week, originally scheduled to take place from November 15 to 17, 2026, has been rescheduled to February 24 to 26, 2027, at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi, the Ministry of Coal has confirmed.

The official announcement comes after PSU Watch broke the news of the postponement on October 14, citing sources familiar with the development. The report had also indicated that the event could be shifted to February 2027, a timeline now confirmed by the government.
In its October 14 report, PSU Watch had exclusively reported that India Mining Week 2026 was being postponed, with sources pointing to weak industry interest, concerns over air pollution in the National Capital Region following Diwali, and the prevailing political climate as possible factors behind the decision.
At the time, there was no official confirmation from the Ministry of Coal, despite PSU Watch seeking its response.
The Ministry has now attributed the rescheduling to consultations with industry partners, exhibitors, speakers and government stakeholders.
According to the official statement, the revised dates will avoid clashes with other major industry and government events and help ensure wider participation from ministries, public sector undertakings (PSUs) and international delegates.
The Ministry also said the February schedule would avoid the festive and winter travel period, making attendance more convenient for domestic and international participants.
The Ministry clarified that all existing registrations, exhibitor bookings and sponsorship commitments will automatically be transferred to the revised dates.
Delegates and exhibitors unable to attend in February may contact the India Mining Week organising team to discuss available options.
The venue, programme themes and event format will remain unchanged unless further announcements are made. Updated schedules, speaker details and other information will be communicated through the official India Mining Week website and other official channels.

India Mining Week is being positioned as a major platform bringing together mining companies, equipment manufacturers, technology providers, policymakers, investors and industry experts.
The event will feature an exhibition, conference sessions and business networking opportunities, focusing on emerging mining technologies, sustainable practices and investment opportunities across the mining value chain.
With the revised dates now officially announced, the focus shifts to whether the additional preparation time will help organisers secure stronger industry participation and broader international representation for the flagship event.
