IPL 2023: Delhi Metro extends its last train timings to facilitate spectators

In view of the IPL T20 matches which are scheduled as day-night fixtures at Arun Jaitely Stadium, Delhi Metro will be extending its last train timings by about 30-45 minutes on all Lines

New Delhi: Delhi Metro on Monday said that it will be extending its last train timings by about 30-45 minutes on all lines (except Airport Line) to facilitate spectators during IPL T20. "In view of the IPL T20 matches which are scheduled as day-night fixtures at Arun Jaitely Stadium (Ferozshah Kotla Ground), New Delhi, which is adjacent to the Delhi Gate Metro station on the Violet Line (i.e., Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh), Delhi Metro will be extending its last train timings by about 30-45 minutes on all Lines (except Airport Line) to enable spectators to reach their destination smoothly. These days are April 4, 11, 20, 29 and May 6, 13, 20," said Delhi Metro in an official announcement.

"The additional train trips beyond normal timings are planned in such a way that they will provide connecting service to all directions from interchange stations of Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Kashmere Gate, Kirti Nagar, Inderlok and Lajpat Nagar," Delhi Metro added.

Further, additional token vending machines, pre-vended token counters and staff will also be deployed at Delhi Gate Metro station for facilitating passengers on the match days.

A brief schedule for last metro train timings from terminal stations for T-20 matches (Day-Night) on April 4, 11, 20, 29 and May 6,13 is as follows:
