IRCON secures Rs 1,096 crore EPC contract for new secretariat complex in Meghalaya

IRCON has been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract by the Directorate of Urban Affairs, Government of Meghalaya

New Delhi: IRCON International Limited, a leading public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has been awarded a major Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract by the Directorate of Urban Affairs, Government of Meghalaya. The contract entails the construction of a new Secretariat Complex, including campus infrastructure, in New Shillong City, Meghalaya.

The project has been secured by a joint venture between IRCON and Badri Rai and Company, with IRCON holding a 26 percent stake and Badri Rai and Company holding the remaining 74 percent. The total contract value stands at Rs 1,096.17 crore, inclusive of GST, with IRCON's share amounting to Rs 285.00 crore. The project is to be executed over a period of 36 months.

The Directorate of Urban Affairs, Government of Meghalaya, awarded the contract as part of its efforts to enhance administrative infrastructure in the region. The new Secretariat Complex is expected to contribute significantly to urban development in New Shillong City. IRCON's extensive experience in executing large-scale infrastructure projects, combined with its partnership with Badri Rai and Company, is expected to ensure the timely completion of the project with high-quality standards.
