New Delhi: IRCON International Limited (IRCON), a leading infrastructure development company under the Ministry of Railways, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Northeast Frontier Railway for two major projects, with a combined contract value of approximately Rs 89 crore. The Railway PSU shared this information in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange on Friday.
The projects involve outsourcing the maintenance and breakdown services of Traction Distribution (TRD) systems across 20 Overhead Equipment (OHE) depots in the Tinsukia and Lumding Divisions of Northeast Frontier Railway. The contract, spanning 24 months, includes maintaining newly commissioned OHE and Power Supply Infrastructure (PSI) assets.
The first segment covers nine depots in Tinsukia Division with an estimated value of Rs 39 crore, while the second focuses on 11 depots in Lumding Division, valued at Rs 50 crore. Both projects follow a cost-plus model and are classified as domestic contracts with no related party transactions.
