IREDA CMD emphasizes cost-effective funding in RE in 19th Stakeholders’ meet

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) successfully conducted its 19th Stakeholders’ Interaction Meet in virtual mode, under the leadership of the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Pradip Kumar Das. The event brought together borrowers from various Renewable Energy (RE) sectors to discuss key updates, foster collaboration, and explore strategies for advancing the sector’s growth.

In his inaugural address, Das highlighted IREDA’s significant accomplishments in the third quarter (Q3) of the fiscal year 2024-25, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to enhancing the ease of doing business and offering low-cost funds to Renewable Energy developers. He reaffirmed IREDA’s focus on reducing borrowing costs for project developers, which has played a crucial role in sustaining business performance and growth over the past four and a half years.

Das also underscored the agency’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, transparency, and discipline. In a significant achievement, IREDA became the first corporate in India to publish its Q3 audited financial results within just nine days. He urged all stakeholders to prioritize compliance, timely reporting, and dues clearance, emphasizing that these practices are vital for maintaining asset quality and strengthening IREDA’s credit rating.

The meeting provided a platform for borrowers across the RE sector to share valuable insights and feedback, which will play an instrumental role in shaping IREDA’s future strategies and initiatives. Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance), along with other senior IREDA officials, also participated in the event, further enhancing the discussions.

Business partners expressed their appreciation for IREDA’s stellar performance, congratulating the agency for maintaining its ‘Excellent’ rating for the fourth consecutive year. The positive response was also attributed to IREDA’s strong Q3 results and its swift resolution of issues, demonstrating the agency’s commitment to excellence and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
