IREDA records highest-ever loan sanctions, disbursements in FY'26

IREDA on Tuesday reported its highest-ever annual loan sanctions and disbursements for FY 2025–26

New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) on Tuesday reported its highest-ever annual loan sanctions and disbursements for FY 2025–26, driven by sustained growth in renewable energy financing.

According to provisional data released by the company, loan sanctions during the fiscal rose 9 percent to Rs 51,883 crore, compared to Rs 47,453 crore in FY 2024–25. Loan disbursements registered a stronger growth of 16 percent, increasing to Rs 34,946 crore from Rs 30,169 crore in the previous financial year.

The company’s outstanding loan book also witnessed a significant expansion of 22 percent, reaching Rs 93,075 crore as on March 31, up from Rs 76,282 crore a year earlier.

Commenting on the performance, IREDA's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Pradip Kumar Das, said the announcement of annual performance on the last day of the financial year underscores the company’s commitment to transparency and timely disclosures.

He noted that the record-high loan sanctions, disbursements and loan book highlight IREDA’s pivotal role in financing India’s renewable energy sector. Das also acknowledged the support of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the company’s Board, and other stakeholders, while commending employees for their efforts.

IREDA said the figures are provisional and subject to audit.
