The rankings are based on passenger feedback collected from airports across the country and reflect performance across key service parameters, including check-in procedures, security screening, terminal cleanliness, staff behaviour, waiting times, catering, information systems and overall passenger experience.

Khajuraho Airport Director Santosh Singh said the recognition would provide a major boost to tourism in the region. He noted that improved air connectivity and high-quality passenger facilities would enhance the travel experience for domestic and international tourists visiting the UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its historic temples.

Singh attributed the airport's top ranking to the dedicated efforts of the entire airport team, the confidence reposed by passengers and the continued focus on delivering quality services.

He added that the airport management remains committed to providing world-class passenger facilities and further improving service quality in the coming years.

The AAI's National Customer Satisfaction Index serves as a key benchmark for assessing passenger experience and service standards at airports across India through direct customer feedback.
