KIOCL Q1 net loss narrows to Rs 15.48 crore

New Delhi: State-owned KIOCL on Thursday said the company trimmed its standalone net loss to Rs 15.48 crore in the June quarter, supported by increased revenues.

The company had posted a net loss of Rs 37.79 crore in the same quarter a year ago, the iron ore pellet maker said in an exchange filing.

During the April-June period, the company's total revenue rose to Rs 180.46 crore, up 67 per cent from Rs 108.09 crore in the year-ago quarter.

KIOCL Ltd, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, operates a 3.5 million tonne per annum (MTPA) iron-oxide pellet plant and a blast furnace unit to manufacture pig iron at Mangaluru, Karnataka.
