MCL commissions Bhubaneswari CHP under First Mile Connectivity project

New Delhi: State-owned Coal India's subsidiary, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) has commissioned a new coal handling plant (CHP) in the Bhubaneswari area under the first-mile connectivity (FMC) project, the company said in a LinkedIn post on Tuesday.

Bhubaneswari CHP has coal handling capacity of 10 MTPA

Highlighting the features of the new CHP, the PSU said that the Bhubaneswari CHP has a coal handling capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum (MTPA). "Using state-of-the-art high-speed pipe conveyer and an automated rapid loading system, this CHP will help in faster coal evacuation," it added.

Coal India’s flagship FMC projects are intended to mechanise coal transportation in order to make it swift and eco-friendly.
