MCL disburses over 11 crores to land oustees

Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) disbursed more than Rs 11 crore as compensation against structures to 17 land oustees of Tumulia village in Sundergarh District of Odisha

New Delhi: Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) disbursed more than Rs 11 crore as compensation against structures to 17 land oustees of Tumulia village in Sundergarh District of Odisha. These beneficiaries of Tumulia village coming under the Mahalaxmi and Basundhara Area are given compensation against land acquired by MCL as per the rehabilitation and resettlement policy of the company.

The cheques were handed over by the Additional District Magistrate (R&R) of Sundergarh District in the presence of Area General Manager of Basundhara and Mahalaxmi Areas of MCL.

MCL, A leading coal-producing company in the country aims to provide a quality life to the residents of its command area through its various initiatives. MCL focuses on the development of the acquired area by improving lives by providing employment, cash compensation, plots, and other benefits to the land oustees under its R&R policy.
