The target is significantly higher than the 6.12 lakh square feet of identified areas covered by MCL during the previous campaign, reflecting the coal miner’s focus on improving workplace cleanliness and space utilisation.

The campaign will be undertaken from October 2 to October 31, 2026, in line with the Government of India’s Special Campaign 6.0. It will focus on institutionalising Swachhata, improving workplace management, optimising available space, reducing pendency and ensuring proper collection, segregation and disposal of waste, including e-waste.

Scientific management of e-waste will be a key focus of this year’s campaign. MCL will undertake dedicated efforts to identify, segregate and systematically dispose of obsolete and discarded electronic items in accordance with applicable guidelines.

The company will also focus on clearing unwanted, obsolete and redundant materials to optimise workplace space and enable more efficient utilisation of available areas.

Through the campaign, MCL aims to strengthen cleanliness, environmental responsibility and efficient workplace management across its offices and establishments.
