Under the agreement, CSC will promote MNRE’s PM Surya Ghar Scheme by registering interested candidates with the help of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) through door-to-door campaigns. Through the coordinated efforts of CSC and MNRE, the door-to-door campaign is poised to create a more inclusive and widespread impact, promoting the adoption of solar energy for households across the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched 'PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana' with an investment of over Rs 75,000 crore on February 13. The scheme, with an investment of over Rs. 75,000 crore, aims to light up 1 crore households using rooftop solar systems and provide up to 300 units of free electricity every month.
