MOIL achieves record-breaking production in April–June quarter of FY 2025-26

MOIL has achieved a historic production figure of 5.02 lakh tonnes of manganese ore in the first quarter of FY 2025-26, reflecting a 6.8 percent increase over the corresponding period last year

New Delhi: MOIL Limited, a Government of India enterprise and the country’s largest producer of manganese ore, has reported its best-ever quarterly production performance for the April–June 2025 period (Q1 of FY 2025-26), registering multiple operational milestones.

The company has achieved a historic production figure of 5.02 lakh tonnes of manganese ore in the first quarter of FY 2025-26, reflecting a 6.8 percent increase over the corresponding period last year. This also includes the highest-ever production recorded in the month of June, at 1.68 lakh tonnes, up by 2 percent year-on-year.

In another significant achievement, MOIL conducted 34,900 meters of exploratory core drilling during the quarter, setting a new record for the company’s Q1 exploration activity. This figure marks a 16.2 percent growth over the same period last year and demonstrates MOIL's strategic focus on strengthening its resource base for future expansion.

Commenting on the performance, MOIL's Chairman and Managing Director Ajit Kumar Saxena expressed satisfaction over the results and stated that the company's strong fundamentals and consistent focus on operational excellence continue to fuel its growth momentum.

MOIL's robust performance in the first quarter of the current fiscal positions it favourably for sustained growth and expansion in the mining sector.
