New Delhi: NBCC (India) Limited, a Navratna public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has announced the receipt of significant work orders amounting to approximately Rs 368.75 crore on Friday. In a regulatory filing on Friday, the company said it has secured Rs 300 crore work order in Varanasi, Rs 44 crore contract at AIIMS Gorakhpur and Rs 24.38 crore work order at IIT Roorkee.
NBCC will undertake the construction of the Mehta Family School of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee in Uttarakhand. The scope of work includes building construction and the installation of internal electrical systems, HVAC, firefighting and fire alarm systems, lifts, audio-visual systems, CCTV, and a building management system (BMS). The project, valued at Rs 24.38 crore, also encompasses associated development works.
In another significant project, NBCC has been tasked with the development of the Jawaharlal Nehru Commercial Complex (JLNCC) at Englishya Lines in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. This project, commissioned by the Varanasi Development Authority (VDA), will follow a self-sustainable model and has a value of Rs 300 crore.
Additionally, the company has secured a contract for constructing and furnishing a 500-bedded multi-storey “Vishram Sadan” at AIIMS Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. Awarded by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, this facility aims to provide comfortable accommodation for patients and their attendants and is valued at Rs 44.37 crore.
