Introduced on August 15, the annual pass has received an overwhelming response, with about 1.4 lakh users purchasing and activating it on the first day and nearly 1.39 lakh transactions recorded at toll plazas by 7 PM. At any given time, 20,000–25,000 concurrent users accessed the Rajmargyatra App, with pass holders receiving SMS confirmations for zero toll deductions.

To ensure smooth operations, NHAI has appointed nodal officers at each toll plaza, strengthened the 1033 National Highway Helpline by adding over 100 executives, and is addressing user queries through multiple channels.

The FASTag Annual Pass offers a one-time payment option of Rs 3,000 for one-year validity or 200 toll crossings, eliminating the need for frequent recharges. Applicable to all non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag, the pass is activated within two hours of payment via the Rajmargyatra App or NHAI website.

With a FASTag penetration rate of 98 percent and over 8 crore users nationwide, NHAI said the new facility will make highway travel more seamless, economical, and user-friendly.
