In its filing, NHPC said that out of the total planned 300 MW capacity, 214.28 MW has already been commissioned. The project, which is part of NHPC’s renewable energy expansion, is designed as a grid-connected solar PV installation.

Remaining capacity to come online in September

According to the company, the balance capacity is now expected to be commissioned by September 30, instead of August 31, as previously indicated. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015.

The Karnisar project forms a crucial part of NHPC’s broader push into solar and wind energy, as it looks to diversify beyond its traditional hydropower base and contribute to India’s clean energy targets.
