NHPC Limited reports 8% increase in PAT for FY 2022-23, declares dividend

NHPC has reported a PAT of Rs 3,834 crores on a standalone basis for FY 2022-23, representing an 8 percent increase from the previous fiscal year's figure of Rs 3,538 crores

New Delhi: State-owned NHPC Limited has announced its audited financial results for the financial year 2022-23, following the approval of its Board of Directors. The company has reported a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 3,834 Crore on a standalone basis for FY 2022-23, representing an 8 percent increase from the previous fiscal year's figure of Rs 3,538 crores. The consolidated net profit for 2022-23 stood at Rs 3,890 crores, compared to Rs 3,524 crores in 2021-22, marking a growth of 10 percent. NHPC's power stations achieved a generation of 24,907 Million Units (MUs) during the fiscal year 2022-23.

Board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.45 per equity share

The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.45 per equity share for the financial year 2022-23, in addition to the interim dividend of Rs 1.40 per share. Consequently, the total dividend for FY 2022-23 amounts to Rs 1.85 per share.

NHPC presently boasts an installed capacity of 7,097.2 MW

NHPC presently boasts an installed capacity of 7,097.2 MW from 25 power stations and is actively involved in the construction of 16 projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 10,489 MW. Furthermore, the company has 12 projects with a combined capacity of 5,882 MW at the clearance stage and two projects with a total capacity of 890 MW in the survey and investigation stage.
