NHPC signs power purchase agreement with Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Ltd for 40 yrs

NHPC signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) on Tuesday with Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Limited (CSPDCL) at Raipur for the offtake of power for a period of 40 years

New Delhi: State-owned NHPC announced in a tweet on Tuesday that it has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Limited (CSPDCL) for the offtake of power for a period of 40 years. Further, it also said that the company will work on projects including, 500 MW Dugar HEP, Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) for 1,000 MW Pakal Dul and 540 MW Kwar HEPs, 850 MW Ratle Hydroelectric Power Corporation (RHPC).

The PPA was signed on Tuesday at Raipur for the offtake of power for a period of 40 years from COD and as per the allocation of power to be notified by the Ministry of Power. The agreement was signed in the presence of senior officers from NHPC, CVPPL, RHPCL, and CSPDCL.
