NMDC posts record-high November production and sales figures

NMDC has reported a production of 4.51 MT of iron ore in November 2024, a substantial 18 percent increase compared to the 3.83 MT produced in the same month last year

New Delhi: NMDC Limited has achieved its highest-ever production and sales figures for November, marking a significant milestone in its operational history. The state-owned mining giant reported a production of 4.51 million tonnes (MT) of iron ore in November 2024, a substantial 18 percent increase compared to the 3.83 MT produced in the same month last year. Sales also hit a record high of 4 MT, up 5.5 percent from November 2023's 3.79 MT.

NMDC CMD (additional charge) Amitava Mukherjee attributed this success to the team's dedication and the company's robust growth strategies. “Achieving the best-ever production and sales figures for November is a momentous achievement for NMDC. This is a reflection of the team’s steadfast dedication and rigorous efforts and the company’s commitment to driving growth and performance. As we move forward, we remain focused on sustainable growth and delivering value to our stakeholders," he said.

The achievement underscores NMDC's operational efficiency, supported by meticulous planning, optimized pricing strategies, and strong customer off-take. These efforts position the company favorably to meet its ambitious target of producing 50 MT in the current fiscal year.
