New Delhi: State-run NMDC Limited has suspended its Director (Commercial) V Suresh with immediate effect on Saturday. The suspension comes on a day when Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) suspended two of its Directors and 26 officials for alleged corruption. “In terms of Regulation 30 read with Schedule-III of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015, this is to intimate that NMDC Ltd. has been informed by the Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India vide Order dated 19.01.2024 that the Competent Authority, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-rule 1 of Rule 20 of the Conduct, Discipline and Appeal Rules, 1978 of NMDC Ltd. has placed Shri V. Suresh, Director (Commercial), NMDC Ltd. under suspension with immediate effect,” NMDC told the stock exchanges in a regulatory filing.
More details about the suspension have not yet emerged.
