NSE & BSE open on positive note

The NSE opened at 18,287.50 and the BSE opened at 61,937.86 on Thursday

Mumbai: Benchmark stock indices opened on a positive note on Thursday. The NSE opened at 18,287.50 and the BSE opened at 61,937.86. On Wednesday, NSE closed at 18,181.75, and BSE closed at 61,560.64. However, the market remains highly volatile. Currently, BSE is trading at 61,759.90 and NSE is trading at 18,224.65.

Position of stocks listed in BSE

As per the live NSE data, 29 stocks are in the green zone while 19 stocks are trading lower and the position of two stocks remains unchanged. On BSE, 21 scrips are trading in the green zone while the other nine stocks are in the red zone. Bajaj Finance, State Bank of India, WIPRO, ICICI Bank are trading in the green zone while Hindustan Unilever, Sun Pharma, Power Grid, and TCS are trading in the red zone.

Performance of markets worldwide

In Asia, Seoul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong markets were trading in the green. The US market ended with significant gains on Wednesday. Meanwhile, global oil benchmark Brent crude dipped by 0.17 percent to USD 76.83 per barrel.
