New Delhi: NTPC Limited, India’s largest integrated power utility, has announced the commencement of commercial operations for a 193 MW solar capacity out of the 245 MW Plot-3 at its Nokh Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project in Rajasthan. The declaration came into effect at 00:00 hours of June 9, 2025.

The announcement was made by Maharatna power PSU in a regulotry filing to the stock exchnages on Sunday. The Nokh Solar PV Project, with a total planned capacity of 735 MW (3x245 MW), marks a significant step in NTPC’s clean energy transition roadmap.

With this development, NTPC’s total installed capacity stands at 59,606 MW on a standalone basis, while the group’s total commercial capacity has risen to 80,708 MW, further strengthening its position as a key driver of India’s renewable energy mission.

NTPC continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio aggressively in alignment with the Government of India’s ambitious targets for green energy deployment.
