NTPC Green Energy declares COD for 75.5 MW Unit of Khavda-I Solar Project

NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has declared the commercial operation date (COD) for 75.50 MW of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat

New Delhi: NTPC Limited on Wednesday announced that its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), has declared the commercial operation date (COD) for 75.50 MW of the 1,255 MW Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat. The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NREL), a step-down subsidiary of NTPC.

The disclosure, made under Regulation 30 of SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR), states that the COD of the partial capacity has been effective from November 19. The project falls under the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III.

With the addition of this new solar capacity, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC Group has increased to 84,924 MW, reaffirming the company’s continued expansion in the renewable energy domain.

The Khavda Solar complex is one of NTPC’s major renewable energy initiatives and forms a key part of India’s broader green energy transition and capacity augmentation under government-led schemes.

The company shared the disclosure with stock exchanges including BSE and NSE on Wednesday.
