NTPC Vindhyachal begins CII HR excellence assessment to strengthen people-centric practices

New Delhi: NTPC Vindhyachal has commenced its Corporate HR Excellence Assessment journey with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), marking a key step towards benchmarking and strengthening its people management practices.

The assessment process began on February 10, at the Administrative Building of NTPC Vindhyachal with an opening session attended by senior management and the CII assessment team. The programme was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the NTPC Geet, reflecting the organisation’s values and legacy. The CII assessors were welcomed by Sanjib Kumar Saha, Chief General Manager (Vindhyachal), along with the station’s senior leadership.

Addressing the gathering, Saha thanked the assessment team for their guidance and emphasised NTPC Vindhyachal’s openness to feedback and continuous improvement. He underlined the station’s commitment to strengthening organisational excellence through structured evaluation and learning.

The opening presentation highlighted NTPC Vindhyachal’s excellence journey across four thematic areas. An overview of the Indian power sector and the station’s operational performance was presented by Ram Sewak Jaiswal, DGM (EEMG). The station’s HR practices and corporate social responsibility initiatives were outlined by Kamna Sharma, DGM (HR), while digitalisation initiatives were detailed by Sourabh Banaudha, DGM (IT). Health and wellness initiatives were presented by Dr. Vertika Kulshrestha, Senior Specialist, Vindhya Hospital.
