Odisha Governor visits NALCO; commends its role in state’s industrial growth

The Governor commended NALCO for being the only PSU headquartered in Odisha and acknowledged its significant role in contributing to the state’s industrial and economic progress

New Delhi: The Governor of Odisha Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati visited the Corporate Office of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) in Bhubaneswar today. The visit highlighted the company’s contribution to sustainable development and its pivotal role in Odisha’s industrial landscape.

As part of his visit, Dr Kambhampati participated in a sapling plantation drive under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, reinforcing the message of environmental responsibility and green development. The initiative symbolises a commitment to sustainability by honouring maternal bonds through tree planting.

NALCO's Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) Brijendra Pratap Singh along with the company's Directors and senior officials, extended a warm welcome to the Governor. During the visit, Dr Kambhampati engaged in discussions with NALCO’s leadership, appreciating the company’s strategic initiatives and operational achievements.

The Governor commended NALCO for being the only Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) headquartered in Odisha and acknowledged its significant role in contributing to the state’s industrial and economic progress. He also appreciated the company’s alignment with the national vision of *Viksit Bharat* (Developed India), underlining its efforts in fostering self-reliance, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
