The MoU has been signed by the Executive Director (Business Development), OIL, and the Vice President (Business Development, BIS, Commercial & STU), MGL, in the presence of senior officials including Director (Operations) and Director (HR) of OIL, and the Managing Director of MGL.

The partnership aims to explore joint opportunities in the LNG space, including assessing the technical and commercial viability of LNG in heavy-duty transport and scaling up feasible pilot projects to commercial operations. The collaboration will also extend to new clean energy ventures, reinforcing both organisations’ commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible growth.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director (Operations) of OIL said, “The collaboration will focus on assessing technical and commercial viability of LNG in the heavy-duty transport segment and on exploring projects in clean energy. Our objective is to take feasible pilots to commercial scale.”

Echoing similar views, the Managing Director of MGL stated, “This collaboration with OIL will help accelerate adoption of cleaner fuels in the long-haul transport sector. It will enable corporates to move towards greener logistics solutions and contribute to reducing the overall pollution footprint.”

With OIL’s robust exploration and production capabilities and MGL’s established expertise in gas distribution and LNG retail, the partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in expanding India’s clean energy ecosystem and supporting the country’s net-zero goals.
