New Delhi/Bhubaneshwar: OMC Managing Director Sudhanshu Mohan Samal visited the Daitari Iron Ore Mines and Bangur Underground Chromite Mine to review mining operations, evaluate performance and chart long-term strategies aimed at boosting production without compromising safety or sustainability.
At Daitari, he examined productivity, operational efficiency and logistics, and called for continuous improvement in resource use and mining practices to support higher output along with responsible environmental management.

At Bangur, he reviewed underground mining operations, production optimisation and ore evacuation systems. He directed officials to improve output through better planning and modern mining methods, while maintaining strict compliance with safety protocols in underground work.
During the visit, Samal stressed that operational excellence, innovation, safety and sustainability must advance together if OMC is to strengthen its position as a leading mining company. He also underlined the need for uninterrupted raw material supply to support Odisha’s industrial growth.
