OMC records highest-ever mineral output, revenue at Rs 25,300 crore in FY26

New Delhi/Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) has reported its highest-ever mineral production and revenue for the financial year 2025–26, underlining strong operational performance and efficiency gains.

The state-run mining company achieved total mineral production of 44.82 million tonnes during FY26. Iron ore output, which forms the bulk of its production, rose to a record 40.02 million tonnes, registering a year-on-year growth of 12.06 percent.

During the year, chrome ore production stood at 1.69 million tonnes, while bauxite output reached 2.83 million tonnes, with all mines meeting their production targets through improved coordination and execution.

OMC’s total mineral sales for the fiscal stood at 42.524 million tonnes, enabling the company to post its highest-ever provisional revenue of around Rs 25,300 crore. The performance reflects the corporation’s role in strengthening the industrial ecosystem and contributing to economic growth in Odisha as well as the country.

The company said it continues to focus on scientific and sustainable mining practices, including environmental management, afforestation, water conservation, and deployment of IT-driven technologies to enhance operational safety and efficiency.

Through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, OMC has also intensified efforts towards community development in mining regions, with interventions spanning healthcare, education, sanitation, drinking water, skill development, and rural infrastructure.
