Despite the presence of a diverse and experienced pool of candidates, the PESB did not find a suitable applicant for the post. Consequently, the Board has advised the Administrative Ministry/Department to explore alternative measures for selecting a candidate. This includes the possibility of a search-cum-selection committee (SCSC) or any other approach deemed appropriate, subject to approval from the competent authority.

The decision leaves the critical leadership role of Director (Finance) at RINL vacant, requiring fresh deliberations for an optimal selection process. The development underscores the stringent selection criteria set by PESB to ensure that key financial leadership positions in PSUs are held by highly competent professionals.
