New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has decided not to recommend any candidate for the post of Director (Finance) at Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), following the selection meeting held on March 21, 2025.
The meeting, convened at 4:00 PM, was attended by multiple senior finance professionals from various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The candidates interviewed for the position were:
Chakka Manoj Kumar, Deputy General Manager (Finance & Accounts), RINL
Dileep Kumar Srivastava**, Deputy General Manager (F&A) - RFM North, RINL
Jammayya Aleti, Deputy General Manager (F&A), RINL
Indala Uma Devi, Deputy General Manager (F&A), Internal Audit, RINL
Shunyabasi Behera, Deputy General Manager (F&A), RINL
DNV Srinivasa Raju, Director (Finance), HIL (India) Limited
Sudhiranjan Mohini, Additional General Manager, NTPC Limited
Ravi Kumar Ponugumatla, General Manager (Finance) - Head of Finance (New Projects, Thermals, Mines, RE), NLC India Limited
Tarun Kumar Chopra, Deputy General Manager (Internal Audit), Indian Oil Corporation Limited
Ashok Kumar Mall, Additional General Manager (Finance, CMS, Bhopal), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL)
Despite the presence of a diverse and experienced pool of candidates, the PESB did not find a suitable applicant for the post. Consequently, the Board has advised the Administrative Ministry/Department to explore alternative measures for selecting a candidate. This includes the possibility of a search-cum-selection committee (SCSC) or any other approach deemed appropriate, subject to approval from the competent authority.
The decision leaves the critical leadership role of Director (Finance) at RINL vacant, requiring fresh deliberations for an optimal selection process. The development underscores the stringent selection criteria set by PESB to ensure that key financial leadership positions in PSUs are held by highly competent professionals.
