PESB picks Anurag Kumar for ECIL CMD post

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has selected Anurag Kumar as the CMD of Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL)

New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has selected Anurag Kumar as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), an official order said on Thursday. Kumar is currently serving as Executive Director at ECIL. He will be appointed to the post of ECIL CMD after receiving vigilance clearances and an approval from the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

He will replace RAdm (Retd) Sanjay Choubey, who is set to superannuate on October 31 this year.

Along with Kumar, only one other candidate was interviewed by the PESB panel for the position — Nuni Rambabu.

Kumar comes with several years of extensive experience in Project Management, Strategy Development & Implementation and Strategic Planning. Over the years, he has garnered experience across diverse verticals including ITES, Telecom and Mass Manufacturing sectors, in areas such as business development, corporate planning and strategy, new market entry, commercial Management and negotiations, Engineering and operations management.
