Valued at Rs 2,886 crore, the project involves the construction of a 765 kV double-circuit Kurnool-III Pooling Station–Chilakaluripeta transmission line. It is expected to enhance transformation capacity by 6,000 MVA, enabling large-scale evacuation of renewable energy from upcoming solar and wind projects in the region.

This ambitious initiative by Power Grid, a Maharatna CPSU under the Ministry of Power, will significantly strengthen the national transmission network, promote efficient renewable energy integration, and contribute to India’s sustainable growth trajectory.
