The project, estimated at Rs 340.15 crore, is expected to be completed by March 31, 2027. Designed to cater to the growing LPG demand in North-West and North-Central Bihar, the facility will have a bottling capacity of 180 Thousand Metric Tons Per Annum (TMTPA).

Equipped with modern infrastructure, the upcoming plant will feature a railway unloading siding for efficient LPG receipt and storage, Mounded Storage Vessels (MSVs) to ensure safe storage, and a 2x24 station electronic carousel to streamline bottling operations. It is expected to generate around 1.2 lakh man-days of employment during the construction phase, providing a significant economic boost to the region.

“This project marks a crucial step in strengthening the LPG supply chain while reinforcing our commitment to sustainable energy practices,” said a senior official associated with the project.

In addition to ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted LPG supply, the plant is also expected to contribute meaningfully to environmental goals. The use of rail transport and Vapour Recovery technology is projected to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 11,000 metric tonnes of CO₂ equivalent annually—an impact comparable to the planting of five lakh trees.

Once operational, the plant is set to enhance energy security, improve access to clean cooking fuel, and support the region’s socio-economic development.

The project is aligned with the government’s broader vision of strengthening the energy infrastructure across India, particularly in underserved regions, while also furthering the nation’s climate goals.
