New Delhi: In a significant development aimed at bolstering connectivity and tourism, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Goa's first Vande Bharat Express via video conferencing on June 3. The ceremony will take place at 10:30 am, with the Madgaon railway station serving as the venue. The introduction of the state-of-the-art Vande Bharat Express in Goa aligns with Prime Minister Modi's vision of promoting 'Make in India' and fostering an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India). This advanced train will revolutionise travel on the Mumbai-Goa route, offering passengers a seamless and comfortable journey experience.

The train embodies cutting-edge technology & design

As the 19th Vande Bharat Express to operate in the country, the train embodies cutting-edge technology and design. Its introduction will significantly reduce travel time between Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Goa's Madgaon station. Passengers can expect to complete the journey in approximately seven and a half hours, saving about an hour compared to the current fastest train connecting the two destinations.

The indigenously manufactured Vande Bharat Express boasts world-class amenities and advanced safety features, including the innovative KAVACH technology. These enhancements ensure a high level of comfort and security for passengers throughout their travel experience.
