Power Grid holds 36th AGM; showcases operational strength and future growth prospects

Power Grid convened its 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, through virtual mode

New Delhi: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the Ministry of Power, convened its 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, through virtual mode.

The meeting was chaired by Power Grid's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Ravindra Kumar Tyagi, and attended by the company’s Board of Directors, including Director (Finance) & CFO Ravisankar Ganesan, Director (Personnel) Dr Yatindra Dwivedi, Director (Operations) Naveen Srivastava, Director (Projects) Vamsi Rama Mohan Burra and Government and Independent Directors. Representatives of the President and shareholders also joined the proceedings virtually.

During the AGM, the management presented the company’s financial performance, operational achievements, and future growth plans, along with its ongoing focus on technological innovation and digital transformation. Shareholders’ queries were addressed, and they lauded the company’s strong performance, extending their best wishes for sustained growth.

As of July 31, Power Grid has commissioned and operates 286 substations, more than 1,80,849 circuit kilometers of transmission lines, and 5,74,331 MVA of transformation capacity. The company has maintained an average transmission system availability of over 99.85%, leveraging advanced technological tools, automation, and digital solutions.
